Dressings, Dips and Condiments

Some of these recipes are from “eating clean”  authors.  Some are homemade knock-offs of commercially processed dressings and dips.  Others are good “finds” or referrals.

Easy Refrigerator Pickles:  Got too many Cukes ?  Make crunchy pickles the easy way.

Miso Sesame Dressing:  This for my favorite salad, it’s sweet and savory and a great way to eat dark, leafy greens.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad:  Something special happens to Strawberries when you mix them with Balsamic Vinegar, read on.

Spicy Sweet Potato Dip:  Roasting carmelizes the natural sugars in the sweet potato and kabocha (butter cup squash).  Chipotle and cumin gives it a bit of heat.  Great with sugar peas and other crunchy crudités.

Chipotle Mayo:  Kick your sandwiches up a notch !

Caesar Salad Dressing:  This winner is from a Chuck’s Day Off episode on the Food Network.  It’s got a catchy title, “Killer Caesar Salad with Oyster Croutons”
